1977, $50 Federal Reserve Note. Star Note. PCGS Very Choice New 64PPQ. Fr-2119-G*. This Chicago district $50 star note is one of just three uncirculated examples graded by either of the two major grading services combined, with this the only 64PPQ graded by PCGS with just one other (a 66PPQ) finer. (PMG has also graded a 65EPQ.) It is boldly original, with its only minor flaw being the centering that is just a trifle off and prevents a Gem grade.
