Lot 1879

1884-S Morgan Dollar. SEGS graded MS-62. "Light Toning" as noted on the SEGS insert. The toning is speckled and generally gold in color over the frosty, lustrous fields. There are some bagmarks in the fields and on Liberty's face, as always for this date, and we note that this one may be a bit optimistically graded by SEGS, and you shouldn't expect a cross-over from another grading service. For some reason, 1884-S dollars are seldom found without a bit of friction on the high points, and virtually all seen are similar to this coin or show more circulation marks and wear. An important coin that is really hard to find in mint state.
Estimated Value $3,000 - 3,500.
