Ptolemaic Kingdom. Cleopatra VII, Thea Neotera. Æ 40 Drachmai (13.59 g), 51-30 BC. Alexandria. Diademed and draped bust of Cleopatra VII right. Reverse: BACIΛICCH[C] KΛEOΠATPAC, eagle standing left on thunderbolt; in left field, double cornucopiae; in right field, M. Svoronos 1872; SNG Copenhagen 422-4. Uniform greenish-brown patina. Tooling in the hair and legend noted; netherless, a handsome example of this historic queen. Very Fine. Estimate Value $1,500 - 2,000
