Johnson" as President, 11½ x 15½", Washington, Sept. 11, 1965. Appointing Raymond A. Hare of West Virginia an Assistant Secretary of State. Countersigned by Secretary of State Dean Rusk. Lovely cream-colored wafer seal is intact. Very fine condition and rare. Raymond A. Hare (1901-94) served as Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern and South Asian Affairs from 1965 to 1966.
