1879-CC Vam-3. Capped "CC". NGC graded MS-62 Deep Mirror Prooflike. Top 100. Untoned. The Capped Die 1879-CC was produced by one die, VAM-3. It is good to refresh oneself every so often with the fact that the "Capped Die" is in reality a Medium over Small Mintmark, the results of which went badly wrong and ended up looking jumbled. Well struck, the surfaces have bright, deep mirror reflection and only scattered bagmarks on the cheek interfering with the silvery white luster residing there.Pop 8; 12 in 63, 7 in 64, 1 in 65.
