1848 N-20 R3 Repunched 48 PCGS graded MS63 Brown. Glossy light to medium olive and chocolate with frost covering the fields and protected areas. Nearly void of defects; a diagonal nick at the lower right point of star 4 and a dull nick hidden in the hair right of the eye are the only notable marks. Looks mint state but there is a touch of rub on the highest points of the devices. LDS, die state c early, with the tops of the C & E in CENT joined by crumbling and the field starting to rise around UNITED STATES OF AM. Our grade is AU58, tied for CC#13 in the Grellman census.
