Kushano-Sasanians. Hormizd II, ca. AD 300-303. Gold Dinar (8.0 g). Balkm mint. King standing left, wearing lion head crown with korymbos and ribbons, flames at shoulders, holding trident and sacrificing at altar; to left filleted trident standard surmounted by crescent, Buddhist triratana (Three Jewels) to right; at feet swatika between legs with pellet above; triple pellets below left arm. Reverse: Peroz standing left, facing right holds investiture in right hand over altar and raising left hand in gesture of benediction to Anahita on r. raising from throne holding invesititure wreath in r. hand. Cf. obv. CNG Triton XIV #548, Cf. rev. CNG Triton XXII, #486. Reportedly the third known specimen. Well struck and lustrous. Superb Extremely Fine. Estimated Value $15,000 - UP
