Bactrian Kingdom. Eukratides I. Silver Tetradrachm (16.23 gm), c. 171-135 BC. Diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Eukratides I right, wearing crested helmet adorned bull bull's horn and ear. Reverse: BAΣIΛEΩEMEΓAΛOY EYKPATIΔOY, The Dioskouroi, each holding palm branch and couched lance, on horses rearing right; in lower right field, monogram. Bopearachchi 6X; SNG ANS 472. Some minor roughness on the reverse and boldly struck in high relief. Lightly toned. Nearly Extremely Fine. Estimated Value $400 - UP
