1908 $5 Liberty. PCGS graded MS-62. Lightly toned. The Liberty Head design ended its long, illustrious career with this 1908 issue. The coin originated in 1839 and is the handiwork of Christian Gobrecht. One modification occurred in 1866 when the motto IN GOD WE TRUST was added to the reverse on a waving scroll (PCGS # 8418) .
