1848 N-11 R5 PCGS graded MS62 Brown. Very attractive glossy medium brown with traces of tan faded down from mint color on the reverse. Essentially flawless except for a faint wisp of reddish steel toning at stars 4 & 5. Looks mint state but there is light friction on the highpoints. LDS, die state e, with three small but strong rim cud breaks on the reverse. Our grade is AU50+, tied for CC#8 honors for the variety but tied for CC#4 among those known in the latest die state according to the Grellman census. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 4; 1 finer in 63. Estimated Value $900 - UP
