1824 N-3 R2 PCGS graded MS65RB. PCGS graded MS-65 Red & Brown. Choice frosty bluish steel brown and light chocolate with slightly faded mint red covering 10% of the obverse and nearly half of the reverse. Satiny mint luster covers the entire surfaces of this cent, extending even to the very highest points of the design. The only marks are a wisp of slightly darker toning over the right side of the 8 in the date and an extremely faint hairline in the field near the hair below star 7. MDS showing fine die flowlines in the fields on both sides and the inner circle on the obverse mostly gone. Called MS65 choice and tied for CC#1 in the Noyes census, his photo #21586. Bland says MS65+ and finest known by itself. Our grade is MS65. A remarkable 1824 cent in every respect. PCGS Population 1; none finer.
Estimated Value $10,000-UP.
