Claudius. Æ Sestertius (21.32 g), AD 41-54. Rome, AD 42/3. TI CLAVDIVS CAESAR AVG P M TR P IMP P P, laureate head of Claudius right. Reverse: EX S C/P P/OB CIVES/SERVATOS in four lines across field within oak-wreath. RIC 112; BN 209; BMC 185. Lovely uniform olive-green patina. Interestingly, two tiny "wheel" holes in the center used to hold the planchet in place, usually seen on eastern bronzes. Choice Very Fine. Estimate Value $800 - 900
