Lot 15

1794 S-29 R2 PCGS XF Detail Environmental Damage. Glossy reddish brown and chocolate blending to olive brown in protected areas. Sharply struck showing very little wear on the highest points of the devices. The surfaces are smooth but there are a half dozen specks of greenish verdigris on the chin, lips, and in the field to the right. Although these specks are quite small they do catch your eye. Otherwise this cent is beautiful. Frosty luster covers the fields and protected areas on the reverse giving that side mint state eye appeal. EDS, Breen state I, with the usual fine die cracks on the obverse but an uncracked reverse. Our grade is EF45 sharpness net VF35. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. PCGS #35552. Estimated Value $4,500 - UP
Ex Evan L. Kopald, McCawley & Grellman 2006 Fixed Price Catalog-Dr. Mark D. Cadden Collection.
