Lucania. Velia, c. 305-290 BC. AR Nomos (7.4 g). Head of Athena right, wearing Attic helmet decorated with wing and wreath; monogram behind. Reverse: Lion walking right, above barley ear; in field Φ-I-Π. SNG ANS 1379ff. With attractive, slightly iridescent, old collection toning. Very Fine.
