Burma. 19th Century Three Piece Inscribed Silver Tea Set. This beautiful, locally made, tea set likely dates from the second half of the 19th century. It consists of the lidded pot, 9" high by 10" wide; creamer, 5" by 6 1/2" and a sugar bowl with lid, 6" by 7". All are fully decorated with figural and natural designs including, on the larger piece, an elephant and tiger. The tea pot and sugar bowl have female and male dancers respectively, on the lid tops. In addition, the bottom of the pot with an engraved dedication panel "Presented To Revd. H.O. Wyatt, By The Members Of The English Baptist Church, Rangoon." All are in very good condition with handsome light age tone.
