Bogart, Humphrey - Bow tie, Handkerchief, and Cards. From Humphrey Bogart's personal wardrobe: a black silk adjustible bow tie with white dots, and an ecru silk dress handkerchief with plaid, bronze trim, 21 x 20". These two items with provenance from Doug Weigand, owner of A Star Is Worn. Accompanied by a deck of Hamilton cards in the original red and dull-gold box. The cards were part of the estate of Verita ("Pete") Peterson Thompson, who claimed to be Bogie's lover, friend, and confidante, as well as his toupee-maker and hairdresser. According to Pete, she and Bogie used to drink and play cards at her house in Burbank. A letter of provenance from Richard Wilson of Norma's Jeans is included.
