Macedonian Kingdom. Alexander III, the Great, 336-323 BC. AR Tetradrachm (17.1 g). Ake mint, Year 32, struck 315/314 BC. Youthful head of Herakles right, wearing lionskin headdress. Reverse: Zeus enthroned left, holding eagle and scepter; date in left field. Bold, full strike, the devices in fairly high relief. Faint russet toning. Apparently some aggressive cleaning on reverse, with a bit of tooling to Zeus' arm and torso. Extremely Fine.
