Autograph Album "Quilt". A unique 23 x 21½ in. swatch of blue denim that belonged to Mary Sullivan, a wardrobe seamtress who worked for John Barrymore and the playwright Edward Shelton, autographed by actors and other prominent personnages. She subsequently highlighted many, but not all of the signatures in white thread. The "cast" of signatories includes: Eleanora Duse, John Drew, Ethel Barrymore, Ignace Paderewski, William Gillette, Maud Adams, William Faversham, Julia Marlowe, Beatrice Stella Campbell, Marcella Sembrich, Viola Allen, Jan Kubelick, Robert Edeson, Leslie Carter, and James K. Haskell. Some of the signatures are dated 1901 or 1902. With a letter of provenance from Ms. Sullivan's great nephew. A unique piece of theater folk art.
