Scarab Seal Amulet, XIX Dynasty, 1328- 1167 BC. Large green glazed faience scarab seal with the names Meremptah I and Tehutmes III, well incised. It is set in a neo-classic 20 kt gold mount with a mine cut diamond of approximately 20 points, at 12 o'clock the seal, and a slightly larger red ruby, at 6 o'clock. The neo-classical setting features two decorated columns and a winged sun disk on beam; on the outside of each column is a mummiform depiction of Osiris wearing the Atef crown. On an 18 inch chain of 14 karat gold. The scarab seal is similar to number 314 of A Catalogie of the Scarabs Belonging to George Fraser.
