1883 Trade Dollar. NGC graded Proof 65. Mostly untoned. A worthwhile gem by any standard for this last year of regular issue, the mirror surface is not in the least timid or yielding, while pale toning hues blossom on both sides. The strike, like the luster, is confident, indeed, as razor's edge as ever seen on virtually any date in the Proof-only Trade dollars of 1878-83. Only 979 coins struck (PCGS # 7063) .
