Breaking Racial Barriers. Signatures. Lot of four signed Time Magazine covers. The first black Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the first black man to make a serious bid for the Presidency, the first black mayor of a major American city and the first black Supreme Court Justice are all represented here. Colin Powell, Jesse Jackson, Carl B. Stokes and Thurgood Marshall have signed Time Magazine portrait covers. The Thurgood Marshall cover has been matted to an overall size of 11 x 14" and its original mailing label is still in place (as is the label on Mayor Stokes' cover). All of the covers are in very good condition.
