Lot 127

1847 N-27 R4 Repunched 18 NGC graded MS63 Brown. Frosty medium brown and light chocolate. An attractive cent with mint state eye appeal but there is a hint of friction on the highpoints of the devices. No spots or stains; the best identifying mark is a tiny tick on the end of the nose. Sharply struck with full radial lines in all the stars. EDS, die state a. The reverse is uncracked and the fine die lines over ERI are visible. The repunching on the 18 is clear. Our grade is AU50. Comes with a nice provenance. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the NGC label. NGC population 2, 4 finer: 2 in 65, 2 in 66. Estimated Value $400 - UP
