1911 $20 St. Gaudens. NGC graded MS-65. After years of grading countless double eagles, only a few qualify for full gem status. NGC has graded 15 this high, with just two coins graded higher. PCGS has similar numbers, with 16 graded as MS-65, and 4 graded higher. We note that this coin has flashy mint bloom and pristine fields and devices. Boldly struck, and certainly one of the very finest survivors of the date. This coin is well worth a premium from the collector who has searched high and low for just the "right" coin for a date set.
