1847 N-24 R1 PCGS graded MS62 Brown. Frosty olive and steel brown with traces of underlying very faded mint color on both sides. There is a puff of lighter golden tan toning at star 3 and another at NITE but no notable contact marks. A very shallow low spot covers much of the field behind the portrait (caused by grease or debris on the die), but everything else is sharply struck. M-LDS, die state c (Newcomb's old #25), with a fine die crack through the top of ME to the dentils at both ends. Our grade is MS60.
