1799 S-189 R2. About Good-3. Close to G4 but the surfaces show minor roughness and there are a couple fine, old pinscratches on the portrait. No verdigris. Rather glossy chocolate and olive brown. The date is easily readable although the bottom of each digit is starting to blend into the rim below. LIBERTY is faint at best but the reverse legends can be made out. A decent 1799 cent for the grade, especially with such a relatively strong date.
