1783 Washington Draped Bust Cent without Button Restrike in Copper Breen-1193 p. SEGS graded Proof 65. Lustrous medium brown and light chocolate with lighter reddish brown toning in some of the protected areas. A faint spot of slightly darker steel toning in the field behind Washington's head is the only mark. Very sharply struck. The fields are slightly reflective. Variety with the center-grained edge, which is noted on the SEGS label. Struck in London circa 1860. Similar to the preceding lot, just not as flashy. Our grade is Proof-63.
Estimated Value $500-UP.
