1798 S-166 R1 Style II Hair with Large 8. EF-45. Choice glossy chocolate and lighter steel brown with frosty golden light brown and tan faded down from mint color in protected areas of the reverse. The only defect is a tiny planchet chip at the top of the E in LIBERTY, as struck. M-LDS, Breen state IV, with the reverse rotated 30 degrees CCW. The arc crack through the fraction and E in UNITED is strong and three small but clearly defined rim cud breaks show over TA in STATES. A premium example of this common variety.
