1893 Declaration of Independence Medal. Eglit-36A. NGC graded AU-55. Copper plated white metal as issued, 58mm. A very pleasing example of this type. The copper plated issues rarely survive cabinet friction or even minimul handing well, uspually oxidizing unnaturally, corroding or developing crack in the plating that flake off. This metal avoided much of that and only a couple spots were plating has thinned to reveal white metal beneath can be seen.
