1893 Columbus Taking Possession of San Salvador, Eglit-112, Aluminum, 51mm. NGC graded MS-64. Designed by Lea Ahlborn of the Royal Mint, Stockholm, Sweden. Published by Scott Stamp & Coin, Co. Obverse has Columbus facing left in ruffled collar. Reverse has Landing of Columbus and taking posession of Island of San Salvador. This medal was previously graded by NGC but is now housed in a custom accrylic holder. NGC Photocertificate with grade of MS-65 is also provided. This medal has a couple minor scuffs and two small spots on the obverse.
