Liszt, Franz -- ALS to "Madame la Comtesse". (1811-86) Hungarian-born composer and virtuoso pianist. Autograph letter signed "F. Liszt," one page, in French, 8 x 5", Thursday, March 18, 1858. He asks Madam la Comtesse if he can enjoy her kind hospitality by coming today at 4 o'clock. If it should cause her the slightest inconvenience he begs her to tell the bearer (of the letter) "no" and as soon as he gets through with his rehearsals he will once again be so indiscrete as to ask her another day…" Fine condition.
