1808/7 C-2 R3 Overdate 8 over 7 PCGS graded XF40. Attractive glossy olive brown and steel. Mint frost shows in protected areas on the reverse and this piece offers excellent eye appeal. The surfaces are smooth and the only notable defects are a small patch of reddish brown crud at the B in LIBERTY and a light diagonal scratch in the field over the bust tip. Nicely struck EDS, Manley state 1.0, with an uncracked obverse. The overdate feature is obvious and the reverse is rotated 20 degrees CCW. A very nice example of this popular "Redbook" variety. Our grade is VF30+. The attribution and Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 5; 5 finer, 1 in 45, 1 in 53, 2 in 55, 1 in 64+ for the variety.
