Sterling Silver 1920s Trophies, Golf: 1925 Pebble Beach Championship Del Monte Golf Course and 1927 Northern California Golf Assoc. Champion. Two sterling silver trophies in remarkable condition approaching 100 years in age. Even more impressive, they are both women's championships awarded to the same champion golfer Helen F. Lengfeld, the founder of the Pacific Women's Golf Association, with an annual tournament named in her honor
1.) 1925 Pebble Beach Championship held at Del Monte Golf Course, now enjoying 125 years of tournament play. Tall tulip style vase with inscription, "Pebble Beach Championship Defeated Eight Winner Mrs. Louis Lengfeld" including the Del Monte Golf Course shield logo.
2.) Beautiful tulip goblet by Shreve Treat & Eacret. A sterling silver and enamel, California poppy presentation goblet inscribed 1927 Women's Championship Helen F. Lengfeld (Mrs. Louis Lengfeld from the previous trophy) Olympic Country Club. Goblet has been recognized by California Historical Design. Estimated Value $300 - 600
