Excellent Collection of French Men of Science Two Nobel Prize Winners, One Field Medal Winner and the First Two French Astronauts. Jean FONTANILLE is a French guitar player and composer from Bordeaux. Charismatic, talented and savvy, he was the co-founder of the French online Music School BandNote and continues to play with a great number of pop singers. He has released three albums. He created compositions in honor of several men of science: 1.) Pierre-Gilles de Genes, Nobel Prize Winner for Physics in 1991 became something of a pen pal sending six (6) handwritten letter with quite hand drawn sketches which are all unexpectedly accomplished. 2.) René Thom, Fields Medal winner in 1959 for his Catstrophe Theory, a typed letter signed on Institut des Hautes Études Scientfiques dated 1995, 3.) Hubert Reeves, acclaimed Astrophysicist, two typed letters signed on his personal letterhead. 4.) Two typed letters signed by the first two French astronauts in space. First, Général Jean-Loup Chretien on Center National D'études Spatiales signing a typed thank you note on his letter head. Second, Patrick Baudry on Aerospatiale letter head, typed letter signed as Director of Programmes Espace.

All are in excellent condition, the de Genes pieces especially fine. Estimated Value $300 - UP
