1802, 2 over 1. Centered Overdate. BD-2, Rarity-4+. PCGS Genuine. Edge Repaired-AU Detail. Still a nice looking coin which offers strong details and just a minor repair to the edge. The central features are high grade and attractive. Later die state of the reverse with a die cud or chip over the F in OF to the rim. The dies were used until they chipped in this fashion as die steel was expensive and every effort was made to extend the coining capacity of these early dies, which is why many are known with terminal chips and breaks, particularly on the reverse dies (PCGS # 8083) Estimated Value $1,500 - UP

Realized $4,800
