Shearer, Norma (1900-1983). Actress. Shearer began her career in New York City as a model, only slowly making her mark in film with bit parts. She was discovered by Irving Thalberg, a movie executive she later married. Subsequently, a range of roles awaited her, guided by the wisdom of her husband. Films include: Private Lives, The Barretts of Wimpole Street, and Marie Antoinette.

A Silver Gelatin Photograph of Norma Shearer printed by Mark Viera from an original negative by George Hurrell circa 1930. The dry stamp on the verso is there for identification purposes and was stamped in 1999. This is the only print in the 8 x 10" format that has been stamped on the verso.
