1836 Capped Bust Half Dollar. Lettered edge, 50 over 00. EF-40. Cleaned and retoned to an ugly dark gray color with a chemists soup of blue and rose tossed in to attempt originality. A failed recipe, when will people learn to leave coins alone? The obverse has a few minor marks, and these were probably the reason for the valiant attempts at retoning.
