1812 S-288 R2 F12. Large Date. Turban Head. Off Center. . S-288, R-2. Fine-12. Sharpness VF20 but slightly rough under a glossy dark olive patina with lighter steel brown highpoints. No notable marks or verdigris. Struck 15% off center to K-7.5 leaving most of the date off the planchet. A very rare mint error for a Turban Head cent.
