Morgan Dollar. 1890-CC. PCGS graded MS-65 Prooflike PQ. Slightly over 18 years ago this incredible dollar was sold as part of the fabulous Wayne Miller Collection of Morgan and Peace dollars. Since that time, this incredible deep cameo and frosty gem has been off the market, held tightly in another top-notch collection of Carson City dollars. That collection, being offered here today, gives one the chance to purchase a dollar with deeply mirrored fields and bright white, frosty devices.
When catalogued in the Wayne Miller Collection this piece was described as "1890-CC Mint State 65+". We fully agree that today this coin is still excessively PQ and choice. As a prooflike specimen this coin is probably the finest PL graded for the issue but why stop there, this beauty should be resubmitted for DMPL designation….its' true status. PCGS population as MS65PL of 7 with none finer! (PCGS # 7199) .
