Two Modern Carved Portrait Sculptures of Mayan King K'inich Janaab Pakal I, One of Amethyst, one of Bloodstone. Two very well done stone carvings from Mexico of Mayan King Pakal. One is carved of amethyst and with onyx stand is 5.5 x 3 x 3" and in mint condition.
The other piece stands slightly taller 6 x 2.5 x 2.5" including faceted onyx stand and carved of bloodstone with sterling silver neck collar at base and ear plugs. Both pieces were obtained in the same gallery, with the bloodstone head signed "J. Comes Mexico" (and marked 925 sterling). Also mint condition. Estimated Value $250 - 400
