Ecuador. 8 Escudos, 1841-MV-S (Quito). Fr-3; KM-23.2. Republic. Second Liberty type. Draped bust of Liberty left, with brooch and earring. Reverse: Radiant sun on astrological course, above three high peaks, two with bird emblems; row of stars above. A lovely lustrous example. Rarest date of the second type, rare in grade. PCGS graded AU-55.
