Ancient Egyptian Green Faience Ushabti, Late Dynastic Period, ca. 380-343 BC. Impressive ushabti in blue-green glazes with sharp pharaonic details, crossed hands upon the chest holding the hoe and pick and having an incised seed bag behind the left shoulder. Ushabti has a plaited/braided false beard, cupped ears, almond shaped eyes and a tripartite wig. Carved hieroglyphs down front (untranslated) would normally mention the deceased and an invocation from the Egyptian Book of the Dead. 7.5 x 1.75 x 1.25" is posed on a lucite stand held securely with earthquake putty and wire clamp near base. I superior relic condition, piece displays magnificently. Estimated Value $800 - 1,500
