6 Fossilized Mako Shark's Teeth. Mako sharks are one of the known man eating species. They can grow to over 15 feet in length This interesting collection of six 2 - 12 million year old Mako shark's teeth were found in the Virginia River of North Carolina. The grouping consists of three upper and three lower teeth. The teeth range in size from 1 ¼ - 1 ½ inch in length, have medium to dark brown enamel and are somewhat curved with sharp edges but no serrations. The genera rule is that every inch equals 10 feet of shark, so the largest of these teeth belongs to a 15 foot long shark. Estimated Value $150 - 400
