From Our Culver City Estate Holdings: A Group Lot of 1927 Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Centenary Commemorative Bronze Medals. 1927 commemorating the Centennial Anniversary of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad medals are struck in bronze by the Medallic Art Company. The sculptor is Hans Schuler. Each weights 138 grams and its size is 2 3/4" (70 mm) in diameter. They're large and beautifully designed medals. The obverse depicts a train coming through a mountain, guided by "the Spirit of Transportation". Around this is "One Hundred Years Safety Strength Speed". The reverse is steam engine, around is "The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company 1827 - 1927". All housed in the original red or blue presentation box, except one raw medal.

Probably Struck in the last 50 years. All in UNC condition. A total of 24 medals. Estimated Value $300 - UP
