Collection of Richard "Dick" Underwood: Personal Collection From Skylab 2 and 4 Photos Plus 8 Glass Slides. Richard "Dick" Underwood was chief engineer on the production of the first topographic maps of the moon. He was the first person to view every photograph from the Gemini, Apollo, Skylab, Apollo-Soyuz and the first 23 space shuttle missions. He also provided technical training to every astronaut who went into space in the twentieth century. Further, he toured the world giving over 1500 lectures on NASA and the space program earning legions of fans. From his collection, 60+ photos from Skylab 2 & 4 plus Skylab 4 Recovery composite sheets. We have kept two of the original binders, but Skylab 4 notebook was too damaged. We did save the original binder tab. While the binders show what Houston weather can do, the photos were sleeved and in excellent condition. Also included are 8 glass slides from Skylab. And as a balance of consignment about 30 NASA stills from a variety of Shuttle flights. Estimated Value $400 - UP
From The Collection of Richard "Dick" Underwood.
