Autograph letter signed "Barnsby," one page, 7 x 4½", Eton College, Windsor, April 14, 1881. To Lady Wrottesley, giving his address in Paris for the next ten days and assuring her, "I will certainly do my best to get in time for the rehearsal." With Sir Julius Benedict (1804-1885) German-born composer and conductor; son of a Jewish banker. Autograph letter signed, one page, 6 x 4", on letterhead engraved "2, Manchester Square, W.," Dec. 20, 1882. To Sir Frederick, accepting his New Year's Eve invitation and looking forward to watching the old year go out "in company of…England's most eminent artist and.one of my truest and best friends…" With Franz Xaver Scharwenka (1850-1924) German pianist and composer.
