A Collection of Attractive Netsukes in Ivory and Bone. Japan, c. late 19th century to 1960's. A variety of Japanese mythical and fokeloric beings are represented here, plus a genre depiction or two. Included: Daikoku holding his mallet; a bearded oldster with a tortoise disguise on his back; a mermaid; an immortal with elongated skull, a group with a fallow deer and young; and more. Close inspection suggested. All attractive, some exceptional. Many enriched with polychrome. Heighths: 1" - 2-1/2". Lot of 13 items.
