STS-1 Shuttle Columbia: First Mission in Space - Flown Flag & Two Signed Photos by John Young (Moonwalker, Apollo 16) and Bob Crippin. The first Shuttle flight STS-1 ferried only a two man crew, John Young (who also walked the Moon on Apollo 16) and Bob Crippin (5 Shuttle missions). This lot consists of four items 1.) A flown US flag aboard STS-1 mounted on a presentation certificate to a Mission Control specialist and trainer. 2.) Young and Crippen signed on mat a spectacular Shuttle launch photo 3.) A Young and Crippen signed photo of Columbia landing. (Both images are 9½ x 7" and mounted on mat boards 14 x 11" with the astronauts both signing in black felt tip Flair. 4.) Also included a NASA published, 32 page color brochure inscribed to the same Mission Control specialist and astronaut trainer on the cover by "John Young, Apollo 16". All items in excellent condition. Flown US flag has normal discoloration to fabric where mounted on certificate. Estimate Value $500 - UP
