Egyptian white faience Plaque for Psamtek II. Late Period, c. 26th Dynasty, 595-589 B.C. Fine white glazed composition, possibly from a foundation deposit, with verticle text on both sides inscribed, 'son of Re (Psamtek) living forever, king of Upper and Lower Egypt (Nefer-ib-Re) living forever' . Intact, a choice example. Height: 1¾".
