Lot 81

1804 C-12 R2 Crosslet 4 with Stemless Wreath PCGS graded MS64 Brown, CAC Approved. Lustrous light olive and golden tan. Satiny mint frost covers the planchet and this piece offers excellent eye appeal. The only marks, and they are trivial, are some microscopic specks of darker reddish brown toning on both sides. A pair of those specks are nestled between the top of the F in OF and the dentils above, and they can help identify this piece. MDS. The die clashmarks on the obverse are sharp and the small rim cud break off the ribbon end right of the fraction is clear. A very nice example, and it comes with an important provenance. Our grade is MS63. The attribution and Green Tree Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 5; 3 finer, 1 in 64+, 1 in 65, 1 in 66 for the variety. Estimate Value $4,000 - UP
