Apollo 12 &13, 2 Mammoth Operations Binders of the Flight Director Including 3 Letters on Rescue Success. Two very large binders mostly related to and around the launch of Apollo 12 &13. The first notebook contains Final Flight Mission Rules Apollo 12 (AS-507/108/LM-6) dated September 10, 1969 and Final Flight Mission Rules Apollo 13 (AS-508/109/LM-7) dated February 12, 1970. The Apollo 12 Mission Rules show a lot of use, graphs made during the flight in the director's hand about 10 original pages. But the manual is heavily tabbed by the director for quick reference and addresses every aspect of the flight including the LM decent and ascent. The Apollo 13 Final Mission Rules comprise only about a third of the notebook and are quite clean clearly because of the aborted flight. However included are three letters from April 20, April 23 and April 30, 1970 including one from James McDivitt (copy) USAF extending congratulations and thanks to everyone in Flight Control and other divisions for the extraordinary job and performance outside the normal operating limits. The other notebook is a mammoth 5 ring binder of the Apollo Operations Handbook with revisions spanning April 1970 to April 1971. Notebook is 4½" thick with charts, graphs, illustrations, diagrams of every aspect of the Apollo Missions. Both notebooks together weigh 14 pounds! Estimate Value $400 - UP
